Memorial Day 2013 - Discounts

Monday, May 27th is Memorial Day here in the US.  As Americans we use this "holiday" to celebrate and honor those that have fought for this country's freedom and our way of life.  

From Wikipedia:

"Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service."

We at ShaoloGear believe that though Memorial Day may not be the most popular holiday of the year, it is the most important.  To all those that have served your country, your fellow man, in any capacity, we salute you.

Oklahoma Tornado - 5/20/2013

We just heard about the Tornado today in Oklahoma.

Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by this tragedy.

NBC has a page listing Non-Profits that will be helping those in the affected areas.

Our personal belief has always been that donating blood to the Red Cross is the best thing you can do to help.  Beyond that a small donation to a charity that is local to the disaster.

We highly recommend that anyone physically capable of donating blood contact the Red Cross.  As blood is needed it will be transported to OK.  This means nearby areas will see a temporary shortage.  Bloods saves lives.  Please donate.

I have some Fenix PD22S2s from 2012. Now that the "new" model is available, I'm closing out the "old" model. Mind you there is only a 10 lumen difference in the brightest mode between the two models. At the time of posting I have 17 left.

These are fantastic little lights. They run on a single CR123A, provide 200 lumens of output and are small enough to make a perfect EDC light.

Nitecore Flashlights

ShaoloGear is proud to announce we will be carrying Nitecore flashlights very soon.  Our first order has been placed and should be in stock in 1-2 weeks.
